K-Town's terrible truth, so long Sora, and a big dump

It’s the first StorySLAM I’ve attended in years. The theme is ambition.
“What’s something you tried really hard to achieve and all of your efforts finally paid off?”
The host reads from the next anonymous audience response.
“I found parking in Koreatown.”
We all laugh because it’s true.
I give historical walking tours of K-Town for LA Conservancy. We discuss migration patterns and preservation battles and the LA Riots, but the one thing I don’t tell the students about K-Town is the terrible parking.
I don’t want to be the one to have that talk with them.
They’ll figure it out when they’re older.

This doesn’t look bad, and I’ve learned to love (or at least make peace with) Sora, but as of this week, I’m done with it.
First of all, they have reduced the daily free generations from 30 to 10 — totally unusable for any sort of serious project.
Second of all, I don’t need Sora anymore.
Last week, I liberated myself, burning the rest of my gas and reaching my daily credit limit buying a big-ass computer way out in Tustin. Apparently, there’s more than just The Jewelry Exchange down there.
With this, I am a superhuman creator god.
I now have the computer power to use whatever AI workflow I want — text to video, image to video, video to video — as well as the strength to create original inputs in Unreal Engine rather than being trapped by the restrictions of a single reference frame, a text prompt, a specific model, and a watermark.

JUJUTSU KAISEN (2020-) is fat with exposition, meaning it explains things in very obvious ways.
Theoretically, folks should be so overwhelmed with backstories that they lose interest. The lore should weigh so heavy that the story sinks beneath its mass.
And yet, it doesn’t sink, and the people aren’t overwhelmed, and I think I might be the only one who cares.
My care is self-righteous, envious of Gege the writer who has gotten away with something that should be criminal. Like Trump in the Epstein files, he has escaped unscathed, and I don’t know how.
Perhaps, I should feel inspired. If he can exposition dump, why can’t alexposition dump?
